Family night
The last Tuesday service of the Fall term is normally a "family night" with a christmas focus. We sing traditional Christmas hymns, have a short message, Christmas related and usually a skit or two.
Well last night we enjoy several items. The Covenant class continued the "rap" tradition with two songs. the first was a take on the 12 days of Christmas, called the "eight days". It was a audience participation song and got everyone involved. the second song featured four differnt languages sing "feles navidad". It was great.
Five other students performed a skit to remind us that it is Jesus not the tree, or turkey or even Santa that is the true meaning for Christmas.
For those students who came, the evening provided a break from studying for exams. We had hot chocolate and cookies planned but a father showed up with surprise birthday cakes for his daughter (one of our students). So we had treats galore.
It was a great time for all.

Sounds like fun. I may have to pop up some time to help you with all the treats. I would also like to try out the SBX espresso machine. How is the weather up there? The weather channel is giving Mt. Hood {home of potential Darwin award winners} and Coos Bay a lot of play, but they don't say too much about Vancouver, eh?
